Roku Ultra

I’ve had many previous Roku devices in the past and now the Ultra came on sale for half price, so I thought I’d give it a try. Let’s see how it compares to the older Premier and Premier + models

Initial Impression

Roku has always been very easy to install. This one is no different. Connect the power and HDMI cable and that’s it. Create or log into your Roku account and you’re off to the races, after you connect to the wifi. The interface is nice and large and navigation is snappy quick, making good use of the quad-core processor. During setup the onscreen and website can pick some channels based on your preferences and preloads them onto your home page. That’s a nice touch.

After 3 week of use
This may be the best Roku to date. It is lightning quick for all the apps. It even has a micro sd slot for loading apps (ie Youtube) even faster. Watching 4K content from YouTube and Netflix shines and makes purchasing a 4K TV worthwhile. The power button and volume buttons are a big plus.

Absolutely None.

If you are a cord cutter this is the ultimate streaming device to own. With the holidays coming up, this can be found for half price which can’t be beat.

5 out of 5 stars
